In the end, the authors write, today’s globalization is part of a long-running transformation and has not ushered in a “global age” radically different from anything that came before. The answer is yes. Those who find Eurocentric versions of ‘globalization’ to be offensive will probably find this book somewhat controversial, but I found their thesis to be as well supported as it could be in pages that strives to cover years and more of history.
